General Information

Menu Planning & Selection
In order for Al Zuhrah Shrine Center to ensure the availability of all chosen items, your menu selections should be submitted to your sales representatives no later than three weeks prior to your scheduled function.

Guarantee
To assist us in planning your event, we require a minimum attendance guarantee two weeks prior to your event.   If the guarantee is not received by the Catering Department, we will assume the guarantee is the number of guests stated on your contract.   We will be responsible for serving no more than 5% over the number of the guarantee.

Prices & Fees
All meals are priced per person. We charge an 18% service fee on food and liquor, 20% on outside item and Equipment, 7% sales tax and 9.5% liquor tax.   For groups of 50 or larger, we can accommodate up to 2 pre-selected entrees.   Room rental charge varies by date, room and time of day.   A deposit (non-refundable unless the room can be re-rented) is required to reserve a room.   Your deposit amount is the amount of the room rental.   The Sales and Catering staff will gladly assist you with menu planning.

Deposit and Payment Terms
We ask that payment be made in advance for all functions.   We request a deposit with the return of a signed contract.   The balance is due two weeks prior to the time of guarantee.   Payment may be made either in the form of cash, personal check, cashier's check or approved credit card (Visa or MasterCard). Corporate direct billing is available upon completion of credit application approval.

Food & Beverage Service
The Al Zuhrah Shrine Center, as licensee, is responsible for the administration of the sale and service of alcoholic beverages in accordance with the Minnesota Alcoholic Beverage Commission's regulations.   We do not allow any food or beverage item to be brought on our property for consumption by our guests with the exception of a cake and party favors.  Buffets are left out for one hour. 

Coat Check
Coatroom attendants may be arranged through our sales office for a minimal fee.

Valet Parking
Valet parking can be arranged through our sales office.

Security
We reserve the right to require and specify what type of security a guest must provide for an event.

Cancellation
All deposits are non-refundable unless the room can be re-rented.   However if you cancel your event you can change the date within one year of your original date.   We only allow one date change before your deposit is forfeited.

Liability
The Al Zuhrah Shrine Center is not responsible for equipment, materials, etc. brought onto the property.   The customer agrees to be responsible for any damage done to the property by the customers, his/her guest, or the agents under the customer control.   Al Zuhrah does not allow the use of nails staples or any other substance to affix items to the walls, floors, or ceiling without prior consent Al Zuhrah will hang banners for a small fee.   No confetti may be used anywhere in the building or the use of crepe paper on linen tablecloths.   A cleaning fee will be charged to your account if the above items are present.

The customer is responsible for the arrangements and all expenses of shipping materials, merchandise, exhibits, or any other items upon arrival at the Shrine Center.

Labor Charges
Client agrees to begin function promptly at the scheduled time and agrees to have his/her guests, invitees or other agents vacate the designated reserved space at the vacate hour indicated.   Client further agrees to reimburse the Shrine Center for any wage payment or expense incurred by the client's failure to comply.
